Sadia Parveen, MBBS, MA: A Bangladeshi-American physician, Sadia has been working in the field of global healthcare for decades. She was worked for numerous international NGOs, and has a world of experience to offer our program
Susan Hubbard: Susan has worked for many years as a volunteer at numerous local charitable organizations in her home town of Ashland, Virginia. She is currently the director of the Hanover Interfaith Free Clinics, an award-winning, entirely volunteer organization serving members of the local community.
Thomas Hubbard, MD, DDS: Tom a physician and dentist in Ashland, Virginia. He has worked for many years in various free clinics throughout the Richmond area, and is a founder of the Hanover Interfaith Free Clinics
Sheana Algama: A native of Colombo, Sri Lanka, Sheana started with Basic Needs as a summer intern and volunteer. Since graduating from The University of the South in 2015, she has been working for the Episcopal Service Corps in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She now resides in Houston, Texas
Richard Hubbard, MD: One of the founders of Basic Needs, Richard graduated from VCU School of Medicine in 2013. He is currently doing his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh.
Shira Goldstein, MD: Shira is a family physician with a particular interest in Women's Health. After visiting the projects of Basic Needs in 2014, she has been a strong contributor to our work. She joined the board in 2016.
Aurpa Choudhury: Originally from Bangladesh, Aurpa has a strong passion for children, and has been a supporter of Basic Needs for several years. She currently teaches science in Baltimore, MD, under the Teach for America Program. She joined the board in 2016
